My full name is Boreale RINI B00, I am a female blue British Short Hair. I was born on Jan 10, 2008 in Toronto Canada at Boreal Cattery. My biological parents are Bloke and Paula.
I was being adopted in May 2008 by Debbie and Simon (from here I call them Mom and Dad), and my new life began. My first name “Rini” was named after “Santorini” in Greece, because that’s the place where Mom and Dad got married. The middle name “B00″ was given by Mom, I am not sure what exactly that meant, but it’s cool though. (Notes: “B00″ is a slang meaning significant other)
I enjoy sleeping in my Cat Condo that Dad built for me from scratch. I have my own room, yes I am a spoiled cat. I am a carnivore, so I have the hunting instinct and I chase everything that moves like flying insects and laser pointer. I am not a vocal cat unlike others, I only meow when it is necessary. I am generally a good cat (most of the time), I don’t scratch furniture because I have scratching posts on my cat condo for my scratching needs. (Do not declaw your kitten, it is inhumane and it is illegal in some countries).
My Brother in 2009 – Mythos
Because Mom and Dad go to work during the day, they think I may be bored. So, got me a brother named Mythos for companion! As I am updating this, Mythos is already 6 months old! Mythos was born in Dec 23, 2008 at Boreale, we have the same biological father, Bloke but with different mother, Bazyia.
The name “Mythos” is inspired by a Greek beer. Yes, we all love Greek.
About Dad
Dad is a senior software developer at a global professional services firm, focusing on Microsoft .NET, MVC, MOSS Application Development, Linq, Ajax and Entity Framework, etc. On top of all those technical stuff, he has a challenging side because he has to face some tough clients, well, it is good to practice his negotiation and influential skills. In fact, it’s just another job (he hates all his jobs anyways) because he needs to pay the bills. That explains why Dad has some side businesses in basement creating software on the side, and he has been working on projects that full time job does not satisfy him. But since after getting married and having both of us (2 cats), he lost bit of the spirit of entrepreneurship. Man, I felt sorry for him. Besides, he loves Photography and Home Improvement.
About Mom
Mom is a center supervisor of Early Child Education (ECE) at a well known non-profit organization. She works with kids, deals with parents, manages staffs, works on program planning and budgeting. It is absolutely not an easy job, especially responding to serious occurrence and deal with Children’s Aid and Police on 911 calls. With more than 10+ years of experience, she got a lot of respect from the staffs – I am so proud of mom because I like to learn how to manage my brother Mythos since he always attacks me from behind. Anyways, I would rather focus on what I am good at, namely play and sleep. Mom loves to Travel with Dad around the world and she has a passion for Food and Cooking.
